Fleece shows are an excellent and affordable way to showcase your farm, your fleece, and the result of your hard work.

Preparing for the Show- Tips & Tricks
Enter only your prime fleece: fleece from the neck, leg and belly should be removed.
Remove all fiber that does not meet the required 3" length. Check carefully for short pieces of fiber called "second cuts" and discard them.
Pick out as much of the vegetation and debris as you can without disturbing the character of the fleece.
Refer to AOA Show System Handbook for instructions on noodling show fleeces.

FAQ- Frequently Asked Questions
What age division should I enter?
Age division is determined by the age of the alpaca on the date of shearing. Fleeces should not be shown beyond 380 days of the shearing date. Alpaca must be at least 6 months old at shearing.
How many fleeces can I enter?
Limit of 3 fleeces per owner (individual(s) / farm / entity) per breed type per color designation and age division.
If I forget to enter can I submit my entry at check-in?
NO NEW ENTRIES or SUBSTITUTE ENTRIES ACCEPTED AT CHECK-IN
How do I determine the color?
Color is determined by definitions in AOA Show Division Handbook Rules as well as the current ARI Color Chart and is subject to a color check by show staff.
What happens if my entry is missing something?
Entries with incomplete information will not be accepted.
